The Color Journal
Pyrrole Red Dark
Red. It’s a directional, emotive color. It’s anger and passion. Blood. It holds your gaze. A stop sign. A red light. You can’t help but notice. Red forces you to stop and see. To take pause. Its power to hold attention makes me wonder how this force can be harnessed in our art?
Cadmium Orange
Orange. It’s a color that has grown on me over the years. As a kid, I remember hating orange.
Hookers Green
When thinking about what color to explore next, I looked at the table next to me and saw half a dozen variations of green
Quinacridone Violet
The name may not roll effortlessly off the tongue, but it’s a powerful color that necessitates your attention.
